I am a Native New Mexican, born in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  My family has a long history in Santa Fe, settling in 1930. My father and grandfather owned a business for over fifty years.  My grandfather was also one of the founders of the Rodeo De Santa Fe . I met the love of my life in High School and we celebrated thirty-four years of marriage in 2017.  I have two children.  My son was born premature at twenty-two weeks, spending ninety five days in intensive care.  He still has his challenges but he is a blessing.  My daughter wanted to follow in her brothers foot steps but we were able to carry her to thirty six weeks with the help of bed rest and IV’s.  I’m a recently retired career technology high school educator of thirty years.  I very much enjoyed teaching AP Environmental Science, Horticulture, Floral Design, Landscape Design, Introduction to Agriculture and Physical Science.  I was heavily involved in extracurricular activities, traveling, competing  and served as an FFA advissor for twenty-five years.  I stay in contact with several of my students and help my replacement, who was a student of mine several years ago.  I am embarking on a new journey discovering who I am after a long career in education.   I now have time to practice what I taught!  I started by landscaping my entire back yard, and currently working on developing an organic garden that includes vegetables, herbs, and the addition of fruit trees. I plan to add composting and a site for an earth worm farm.
